Dr. Ying Wang

My work focuses on the investigation of protein functions aiming at establishing invasive cancer biomarkers and finding pharmacological targets. I am responsible for project management and coordination with international and interdisciplinary collaborators. I am the author and co-author of research articles and grant applications. I review research articles and international grant applications. I do teaching for bachelor students. I have developed leadership skills by supervising students and technicians.

• Developed and applied in vitro 3D tumor cell invasion models and biochemical assays to analyze different protein phosphorylation in tumor cell models • Initialized one international collaboration project • Co-author of one research article • Supervised one bachelor student

• Performed microplate reader-based analyses of in vitro tumor models accompanied by gene expression and biomarker activity tests • Implemented in vitro 2D and 3D tumor cell motility assays

• Conducted crystallization and structural/functional analysis of proteins important in development and disease • Purified and analyzed proteins using liquid chromatography (AKTA FPLC system)
