Newton is a city of about 85,000 people to the west of Boston and bounded on the west by the Charles River. It has a Mayor and a city council called the Board of Aldermen. There are twenty-four, three elected from each of one of the eight wards, two-at large (city-wide) and one from the Ward alone. I am the Ward Alderman for Ward 7, the easternost ward in the City.
