Development and Evaluation of a Submarining Criterion. • To develop robust criteria predicting submarining for three different human surrogates: HIII 5th female, THOR 50th male (Test device for Human Occupant Restraint 50th male) and THUMS 50th male (Total Human Model for Safety 50th male). • Another aim is to develop functions that describe the probabilistic risk of submarining occurrence.

Optimisation of crash box for low-speed frontal impact: Optimized crash box to absorb more energy in the low-speed impact with less intrusion without changing the material without affecting the longitudinal side member for Volvo cars among various platforms.

My primary responsibility at MBRDI was to evaluate Mercedes-Benz cars for the different regulations, load-cases and company standards(e.g. FMVSS214, USNCAP, China-NCAP and IIHS etc), and to give countermeasures in order to achieve the goal of 5-star safety ratings. I was among the one of the 3 simulations experts on rear occupant side impact safety during my tenure across Daimler for MB cars.
