Engineer II (React), (Logistics, Agent resolution)

In our Logistics Team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges that make last-mile delivery efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders, end customers, and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimise delivery operations, supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.

We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer (React, JS) to join the Global Service Tech team in Logistics on our journey to automate the work of customer support agents, using the latest AI technology.

At Delivery Hero, we are committed to automate the daily work of support agents, providing customers a great support experience while making sure our human agents can focus on the harder problems. Our internal tool Agent Copilot already provides our human agents step-by-step instructions to solve a customer’s problem in adherence to the standard operating procedures, and even uses LLMs to understand automatically when customers provide relevant details in the chat. Your job is to take this to the next level: Virtual Agents. This new set of tools and services will play a crucial role in achieving our goal by applying the latest AI technology and innovative solutions to automate the whole conversation with the customer and the problem resolution.

• Contributing to designing and building the backoffice solution that allows us to transform to automate the service experience of all customers.

• Deliver scalable solutions to our Backoffice product, serving stakeholders in more than 50 countries, where ensuring quality and reliability by employing high observability practices is a must.

• Practicing modern software development methodologies such as Continuous Delivery, TDD and Scrum.

• Be an active partner for Product management in order to provide the best value for our stakeholders and customers.

• Collaborating with cross-functional and international agile teams

• Working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment

• Building products used by millions of customers globally

• 3+ years professional experience as Frontend Developer: JavaScript/Typescript.

• 2+ years Experience with React or React like Frameworks (Preact, Inferno, etc.)

• Deep knowledge and understanding of HTML5, CSS, JS Engine

• Deep understanding of Frontend security, APIs integrations, Browser security policy and related API

• Experience with Testing (unit, functional, integration and e2e testing) with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Jest, React-Testing-Library or similar

• Experience with frontend optimization techniques, code splitting, data and state management, asset bundling and cache optimizations

• Takes proactive initiatives to improve the code base, product and contribute to the development workflow and able to document and lead discussion on those initiatives

• Having hands-on experience with frontend related CI/CD processes; such as building/bundling and deployment of code with technologies like Webpack, Babel, Docker, Travis/Github Actions/CircleCI etc.

• Experience with Error Reporting, Monitoring tools like Sentry, Grafana or Datadog.
