EU Finance Manager (m/f/d)

For our "EU Programmes and Networks” team with a geographical focus in Berlin, we are looking for an EU Finance Manager (m/f/d) with immediate effect. This is basically a full-time position (40 h/week).

Your area of responsibility:

• Financial management / sub-project management in EU and nationally funded projects (coordination, project management and controlling in accordance with the funding application and funding contract)
• Responsible collaboration in the project, from preparatory tasks to implementation support and monitoring
• Preparation of financial reports at partner and/or project level and preparation of expenditure certifications and calls for funding
• Communication with the program secretariats/funding bodies and European partners from the university, public and private sectors
• Planning and implementation of workshops and webinars for project partners and clients
• Financial project development (budget preparation) and advice on the requirements of the individual EU funding programs

• Independent performance of the commercial functions for the assigned projects
• Close cooperation with financial accounting and internal controlling for the planning and optimization of project finances

What you bring with you:

• A successfully completed degree in economics with a focus on financial management or a completed commercial apprenticeship or other suitable qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in finance and project management
• Ideally prior knowledge of working with national and European funding programmes
• Confident handling of MS Office and experience with databases
• Enthusiasm for numbers and interest in digitization topics
• Strong ability to work under pressure and conscientious way of working
• Very good knowledge of German and English
