In this position you will:

… be at the forefront of our machine learning initiatives, providing and maintaining the essential infrastructure that powers our Data Science team. Working hand-in-hand with Data Scientists, you will deploy, maintain, and refine machine learning models to ensure fast, reliable, and trustworthy predictions at scale. Additionally, you will develop and manage pipelines as well as inference services for both real-time and batch processing use cases, ensuring our systems are efficient and robust.

As part of a dynamic team of Machine Learning Engineers, you will define and implement best practices, share expertise, and conduct thorough peer reviews to uphold high standards of work. This collaboration extends to Product Owners, Developers, and Operations Research Scientists, where your technical recommendations will help align our predictive solutions with broader business goals for maximum impact.

Effective communication will be a key aspect of your role, as you convey insights to peers and stakeholders through clear verbal and visual methods. This position not only offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art technologies but also provides a unique opportunity to see your innovative ideas come to life and make a tangible impact in real-world logistics applications.

Your profile

Hard skills:

• Proficient with cloud technologies (ideally AWS) and experience with containerization and orchestration (preferably Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of software development and DevOps/MLOps best practices.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining models and services in production.

• Experience with Data Engineering and Kafka is a plus.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with additional experience in Go being advantageous.

Soft skills:

• Ability to generate and validate ideas with PoCs, and build them into functional components.

• Self-motivated with a passion for learning new skills and driving projects to completion.

• Strong critical analysis of architectural approaches and underlying assumptions.

• Preference for simple, effective solutions over complex ones.

• Expertise in agile methodologies with strong collaborative skills.

• Clear communication of technical concepts, both written and verbal.
