Are you pursuing a master's degree in machine learning, computer science, or a similar field? Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice and complete your thesis in this exciting field? Then we should get to know each other!
In the Research & Technology department, you will conduct research in an industrial environment, including on the fundamentals of developing new components and the measurement and manufacturing technologies required for their production. You will work in interdisciplinary teams, have access to modern equipment and laboratories for your research, and collaborate with universities and institutes. You will develop concepts for the next generation of our key components and work to make them a reality using new technologies. To do this, we are growing rapidly and are looking for new talent to join us in pushing technologies to new frontiers.
In the Measurement & Fabrication Technology division, manufacturing technologies are developed and optimized to ensure, among other things, the flatness of our precision components in the nanometer range. This enables our customers in the semiconductor industry to manufacture high-performance microprocessors.
Your tasks
As a Master's student in Machine Learning, you will:
- Accompany an exciting development project in the field of machine learning and independently advance smaller workstreams.
- Familiarize yourself with technical aspects, using experimental setups and evaluating various data.
- develop, represent and implement your own solutions and suggestions for improvement.
- create the required software with Python and learn how to handle software projects in Git.
- Gain a lot of practical experience for a successful direct entry.
Your qualifications and skills
- You are a master's student in computer science or a comparable course of study and have initial experience in the field of machine learning.
- You have a penchant for practical mathematics and image processing.
- You have expertise in software development and have good experience in one of these programming languages: Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Matlab or a comparable language.
- You have knowledge of or interest in manufacturing technologies such as surface finishing (lapping and polishing) or optical measurements.
- You work independently, reliably and in a structured manner and enjoy working in a team.
- You enjoy making contacts and speak good English.
