Join our R&D Smart Controls department in Ebikon to expand your expertise, tackle exciting challenges, and innovate with state-of-the-art tools and methods while driving continuous progress through technical development of new components and technologies.
In this role, you ensure continuity of our platform design by collaborating with software, machines and testing teams as part of Schindler’s global matrix organization.

- Evaluating and demonstrating the technical feasibility of electronic components and subsystems.
- End-to-end development (analyzing, developing, testing, implementing, verifying) of new electronic components and systems new electronic components or systems
- Planning and executing development projects while ensuring alignment with cost and reliability targets.
- Defining rules for configurable electrical schematics, complex root cause analysis, as well as validating and summarizing documentation products by peers.
- Leading the development and continuing improvement of power electronics and embedded controls PCB’s for electric motor drives including schematics, layout, and design for manufacturing.
- Preparing, supporting, and moderating FMEA’s and Design-FMEA’s on component, PCBA, and system level including consideration of relevant standards.
- Master’s degree in in Electronic Engineering with focus on Power Electronic or similar
- Extensive experience (at least 5 years of experience) in the field of development of power electronics and electrical engineering
- Proven experience with PCBA control development for power application
- Experience with Electromechanical Design tool chain
- Preferred experience in functional safety electronic design and ability to coach apprentices and university students
- Proficient level of English, German is a plus.
