The Advanced Fixed Income team of Allianz Global Investors is offering an 18- to 24-month working student position starting as soon as possible. We are looking for forward-thinking and results-oriented bachelor, Master or Ph.D. students. This position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

What you will do

• Actively support the Advanced Fixed Income team and its portfolio managers in their daily tasks
• Leverage your technical and data analysis skills to analyze financial markets to help streamline investment processes
• Contribute to the development and optimization of investment processes
• Conduct research and gather data on specific bond issuers
• Analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making
• Interpret company and bond issuer reports (financial statements, metrics, governance, etc.)

What you bring

• Bachelor, Master or PhD student in a quantitative and/or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)
• Understanding of the bond market and bond issuers (preferred but not mandatory)
• Preferably some background in Macroeconomics and/or Accounting
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Being data driven and programming affine
• Some experience with SQL and Python would be helpful
• Very good English (at least C1) communication skills
• You are organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with high reliability
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team player.
