Senior Associate Risk Controller (f/m/d) – Integrated Risk Controlling

The Team Integrated Risk Controlling is a member of the global Risk Controlling and Pricing department and acts as the subject matter specialist for Siemens Financial Services, especially Siemens Bank on methods, processes and frameworks for integrated risk controlling and overall bank management. Our team is responsible for Siemens Bank’s internal capital adequacy assessment process including risk inventory and risk strategy as well as controlling of non-financial risks and the new product approval process.
We are looking for Senior Associate Risk Controller (f/m/d) – Integrated Risk Controlling with the position located in Munich.

You’ll make an impact by: 

• Taking ownership of independent risk reporting and advancing the internal capital adequacy assessment process at Siemens Bank GmbH.
• Measuring and analyzing the bank’s risk profile, conducting evaluations, and maintaining the risk inventory. 
• Leading operational risk management efforts, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization. 
• Driving the New Product Approval Process by ensuring thorough risk assessments before launching new offerings. 
• Championing a strong risk culture by promoting awareness and embedding effective risk management practices. 
• Developing and implementing risk strategies, management frameworks, and policies in alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. 
• Presenting regular risk reports and in-depth risk analyses to the Management Board and Risk Committee. 
• Delivering internal training programs on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 

This is how you´ll win us over:

• Education & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in banking, auditing or consulting
• Master's degree in a quantitative subject area (Finance, Economics, Mathematics  or similar field)
• Expertise & Skills:
• Highly proficient in quantitative analysis and financial risk modeling
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL) for risk analyses and reporting
• Knowledge of governance, frameworks and tools for integrated risk controlling
• Experience in operational risk management methodologies (e.g., Self Assessment, Risk Indicators, loss data collection)
• Experience with regulatory reporting and interactions with supervisory authorities and knowledge of ESG risks and their integration into risk frameworks is helpful
• Effective communication skills to clearly present complex risk concepts clearly to diverse collaborators
• Intercultural experience during a several-month stay abroad is welcome
• Ways of working: Strong analytical mentality with excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities and a growth mindset
• Languages: business proficiency in German and English
