We are looking for a Senior Pricing Actuary (m/f/d), based in Munich.

Your Team

Led by the Head of Portfolio Steering & Pricing ART, you will be part of a lively and diverse group of 14 skilled professionals, including actuaries, modelers, and analysts. We are based in Munich, London, New York, and Zurich.

The Impact You Will Have

As a Senior Actuary in our Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Line of Business, you will be instrumental in transforming bespoke insurance solutions for corporate clients. Your expertise in technical pricing and risk modeling will directly influence the success of our ART portfolio. By collaborating with senior underwriters and driving the development of our portfolio steering framework, you will empower informed decision-making at the highest levels. Your innovative approaches to pricing concepts and actuarial analyses will not only enhance our methodologies but also ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• You will collaborate with Underwriters, Cat Modellers, and Lawyers globally to structure and price bespoke ART policies.

• You will support our business across all ART Regions and all our risk business segments: Structured Insurance, Sustainability Solutions, and Parametric Solutions.

• You will be responsible for the technical case pricing of new deals, quantitative risk analyses, peer reviews, and model documentation.

• You will further develop and maintain ART's portfolio steering framework, providing actuarial analysis reports to support informed decision making.

• As part of this, you will be driving the integration into the global AGCS steering framework, driving automation of reporting, analyzing loss ratio trends by segment, back testing of modeling assumptions, reconciling pricing and reserving loss ratios, etc.

• You will represent ART in the realistic disaster scenario working group of Allianz Commercial and evaluate the impact of scenarios on our portfolio.

• You will liaise with the Global Pricing, Global Portfolio Steering, Actuarial, Risk Management and other global functions to stay on top of topics relevant for ART.

• You will engage in ART internal projects related to pricing and portfolio steering frameworks, such as developing new pricing methodologies or tools or new automated portfolio reports.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• You have a master's degree in a relevant field or are a certified actuary.

• You have at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in the insurance or financial sector, particularly in roles related to actuarial or risk management.

• You possess strong actuarial skills, including statistical analysis, financial modeling, and data interpretation.

• You have specialized industry skills in pricing and risk assessment, with a focus on customer-side solutions.

• You have experience in risk management and assessment, with a good understanding of industry-specific knowledge.

• You have excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to various stakeholders.

• You have proven experience in project steering, with the ability to lead and manage projects effectively.

• You have problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions.

• You have the ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies will be key to maintaining a competitive advantage
