CipherMail (formerly known as DJIGZO) founded in 2007, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, provides email security products which allow organizations world wide to automatically protect their email against unauthorized access both in transit and at rest. CipherMail is a firm believer of open source software. By making our source code available, our clients can verify the reliability and correctness of our software.

CipherMail email encryption gateway provides an easy-to-use solution to securing your email without requiring additional client software. The centralized policy based encryption engine can be setup to automatically encrypt email based on regulatory compliance or business rules thereby minimizing human errors which might result in a data breach. CipherMail gateway is a standards based centrally managed email server (MTA) that encrypts and decrypts your incoming and outgoing email at the gateway level and is compatible with any existing email infrastructure like for example Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Google Apps for business or Exchange online.

For additional security, all private keys can be stored in a tamper proof Hardware Security Module (HSM).

The Data Leak Prevention (DLP) module prevents certain information to leave the organization via email. What information this is, is defined in the configuration of the DLP system. Typically, it includes credit card numbers, bank account numbers, excessive amounts of email addresses or other personal information in one email message, etc.

CipherMail gateway can be installed as a virtual appliance for VMware or Hyper-V or can be installed on most Linux and Unix based systems. Installation packages are available for Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat/CentOS and OpenSUSE.

CipherMail for Android is an Android application which can be used with your existing Android mail application to send and receive S/MIME digitally signed and encrypted email with an Android smartphone.
