Seit 1920 produziert Mühldorfer Daunenbetten und Kissen höchster Qualität für ein gesundes und erholsames Schlaferlebnis. Die Auswahl der Rohstoffe und das Waschen im kalkfreien, kristallklaren Bergquellwasser des Bayerischen Waldes bieten die Grundlage für die einzigartig weichen und reinen Daunen der Mühldorfer Wohlfühlbetten. Für die Decken und Kissen wird ökologisch angebaute Baumwolle verarbeitet und schonend veredelt. So entstehen Gewebe von unvergleichlich weichem Griff und edler Optik, die höchsten Umweltstandards entsprechen.
Der sprunghafte Aufstieg zum weltweiten Lieferanten an exclusive Großkunden begann so richtig 1993 mit der Beteiligung an einer Hotelmesse in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten.

Mühldorfer ist innerhalb weniger Jahre die erste Adresse für Hotelbetten geworden. Die hohe Zufriedenheit zeigt sich auch überzeugend in der Reaktion der Hotelgäste. Viele von ihnen kaufen ihre Mühldorfer-Kissen und -Decken direkt ab Hotel. Dazu hat Mühldorfer ein eigenes Logistik-System entwickelt.
Die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung innovativer Ideen und Produkte gepaart mit optimalem Service steht im Mittelpunkt der Mühldorfer Erfolgsgeschichte.
Fakten zum Unternehmen
Die Firma Mühldorfer wurde 1920 gegründet und wird seit 1987 in 4. Generation von den beiden Geschäftsführerinnen Elisabeth Hintermann und Maximiliana Pangerl geleitet. In dieser Zeit entwickelte sich das Familien-Unternehmen zum weltweiten Zulieferer von Daunenbetten und Kissen der Top-Hotellerie. Mit ca. 50 Mitarbeitern produziert und beliefert Mühldorfer für die Hauptabsatzmärkte Europa, Middle East und jetzt auch erfolgreich in Asien (u. a. Japan, China, Hongkong, Macau).
Der derzeitige Export beträgt 75%. Der Privatkundenumsatz läuft vorwiegend über die regionalen Filialen in Passau, und den Fabrikverkauf am Standort Haidmühle im Bayerischen Wald.

Mühldorfer has produced quality bedding since 1920 at Haidmühle, in Germany`s Bavarian Forest natural park. Mühldorfer provides down pillows and comforters of the highest quality to sophisticated and exclusive costumers around the world
The company was founded in 1920, when Sidonie Mühldorfer started manufacturing quality pillows and comforters from goose down. Located in Haidmühle, still completely fulfills all the requirements of the enterprise. The calcium-free, pure mountain spring water ensures the high quality of the processed goose down. After cleaning the raw material in the fresh water from the Bavarian Forest Mountain and after being cool air-dried, the bacteria and dust-free down is filled into bedding products at a state-of-the art plant.
The quantum leap towards becoming a global provider for exclusive customers originally lifted off with Mühldorfer`s participation at a hotel fair in the United Arab Emirates. In 1999, this meant an order for the initial provisioning of the Burj Al Arab and onwards to many subsequent orders from all over the world.
Regional lines of business also started to grow strongly since 1987. Further shops were opened in Passau and Munich. The responsibility for this growth is clearly attributed to the current proprietors and chief executive officers Elisabeth Hintermann and Maximiliana Pangerl, who made the hotel sector to the core competence of the organization.

The most well known costumer is the prestigious Burj Al Arab, the only 7-star hotel in the world. Mühldorfer delivered the complete initial requirement of pillow and down comforters to Dubai, guaranteeing guests „sweet dreams from the Arabian Nights“.
One particular side effect that reflects the top-quality of Mühldorfer bedding is confirmed by the fact that almost every hotel guest wants to take a pillow home for his private use. This is useful additional revenue, both for the hotel and for Mühldorfer.
