Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo J.S.C. is a member of RZB Group and subsidiary of Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG. Raiffeisen International came to Kosovo by the end of 2001 by purchasing most of the shares of the American Bank of Kosovo to complete the purchase and rename the bank in June 2003. In June 2003, Raiffeisen International became the owner of 100% of shares and named the Bank Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo.Raiffeisen International operates one of the largest banking networks in CEE, including Kosovo. 17 markets in Europe's growth regions are covered by the subsidiary banks, leasing companies and a range of other financial service providers.

According to the Balance Sheet as at 31 December 2009, total assets of Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo marked a significant increase from €648 million to €672 million, which is more than 12% compared to the year end 2008. On the other hand, total customers’ deposits grew by 10% to €543 million, whereas lending balance is €345 million. Raiffeisen Bank has a capital of €58 million, making it the best capitalised bank in Kosovo.

Raiffeisen Bank offers a wide range of banking services and products for all clients: individuals, small and medium enterprises and corporate. Since its presence in the market, Raiffeisen Bank is very successful by achieving continues development in all segments including loans and deposits.

In 2007, the renowned world magazine of the Financial Times Group “The Banker” awarded Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo as the “Bank of the Year” whereas in 2008 it was recognised by Euromoney. In 2008, Finance Central Europe awarded Raiffeisen Bank as the Best Bank in Kosovo by Capital Strength 2008. In 2009, Euromoney magazine for the second time in a row awarded Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo as the “Best Bank”
