Work in 2 groups: FS transaction tax & specialist hedge fund: assisting in building the hedge fund practice in Switzerland. This has involved: sharing existing working practices & hedge fund know how/knowledge from London; identifying & matching needs of hedge fund industry to the availability of solutions in Swiss market; advising & project managing hedge fund start ups in Switzerland & relocation of existing hedge fund functions; Project managing multiple jurisdictions due diligences.

Working in two groups: Financial Services transaction tax and the specialist hedge fund group. Work carried out included: Lead project manager for the IPO of part of the Gottex group on the Swiss exchange.

Specialising in Financial Services tax and then transaction tax. Work carried out included: Project managing multiple jurisdictions buy/sell side due diligences. Performing buy/sell side tax due diligence for Financial Services clients. Assisting in tax structuring. Implementing and project managing tax structuring projects for multiple jurisdictions. •Researching the potential for M&A tax offering for hedge funds. Followed by developing and assisting in implementing a “go to” marketing strateg

Training for chartered accountancy completed here. Work carried out included: •Performing buy/sell side due diligences. Assisting in tax structuring. •Modelling tax optimal positions across multiple jurisdictions for tax structuring projects. •Assisting in the portfolio management of multi-national clients on a daily basis, including provision of ad hoc advice and taking tax saving ideas to them. •Researching the potential for clients to participate in EU group relief litigation.
