Leading a team of principal scientists, laboratory specialists, and technicians, organized into programs for new product development, addressing challenges in the realms of offshore deepwater, sustainability, pipeline, and digital solutions.

New product development for midstream production systems - production chemistry; design, set-up, and lead of new laboratory for advanced research on emulsion breakers, H2S scavengers, corrosion, naphthenate, scale, paraffin, asphaltene and hydrate inhibitors; digitalization and automation for high-throughput intermediate screening.

Managing various internal and client projects regarding fundamental and applied research in the area of reservoir characterization. Main focus on interfacial tension, wettability, EOR, and development of new technologies and methods for better characterization of unconventional reservoirs.

Wettability determination and alteration (fluid/rock interaction) for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) as well as fundamental studies on the dynamic behavior of fluid/fluid interfacial tension (IFT) of model oil systems and crude oils (dead and live). Development of new atomic force microscopy (AFM), FT/IR and Raman spectroscopy methods for the characterization of carbonate and shale samples. Management of comprehensive core analysis projects (NMR, dielectric, resistivity and USBM).

Research at the interface of organic synthesis and molecular biotechnology, expanding the genetic code for design and engineering of novel catalysts, synthesis of unnatural amino acids, fluorescent probes, DNA/RNA chimera, modified oligonucleotides and other biopolymers. Site specific in vitro incorporation of fluorescent unnatural amino acids by nucleotide conjugates to study protein dynamics by single molecule FRET for anti-cancer applications.

Site supervision, levelling, surveying, differential GPS, inventory of terrain, buildings and facades, CAD.
