Benjamin Ruppik

I am Ben Ruppik, a mathematician and researcher with a focus on integrating the principles of mathematics and data science. I hold a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bonn and a PhD/Dr. rer. nat. in Low-dimensional Topology from the University of Bonn in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics. Currently, I am part of the Dialog Systems and Machine Learning lab at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, led by Prof. Milica Gašić. My primary research interest lies in Representation Learning, a process of transforming raw data into a form more suitable for machine learning tasks. I am specifically exploring how Topological Data Analysis can be utilized to study and enhance these representations, particularly in the context of Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models.
