Built on a century of business heritage in domestic and international shipping and transportation activities across the Indonesian archipelago, Asia, and the rest of the globe, IMC will expand its services to help customers master their project supply chain right up to the sites.

    Recruited to return Industrial Projects to profitable growth and develop a sector diversified portfolio. Developed a growth strategy for the region, providing countries with a common direction and improving the collaboration across regions. Consequently the product returned to positive financial results within a year and continued to grow by 40+% annually. The position covers 15+ countries and reports to the Global CEO Industrial Projects and the CEO Asia Pacific (members of the company global board).

    Entrusted to renew the management team of the group’s biggest country and steer it back to profitability. The U.S. company operates 50+ locations with >3’600 staff. Created a leaner management team, brought new manager talents from within the group to run Sales, Ocean- and Airfreight. Returned the bottom line to black, 18% over budget. Simultaneously led the company through a complex and time constraint organizational transformation to prepare for the global rollout of the new SAP operation platform.

    Promoted to lead our new Joint Venture with focus on significant growth a responsible to oversee the merger of 3 companies into a single legal entity, establishing DHL as India’s leading Logistics Provider. Post integration India’s footprint consisted of 50 offices in 5 regions with 1’200 employees. Over the tenure of 7 years I expanded the company’s leading market position with an average annual EBIT growth of 8.5%.

  • 1992 - 2005

    Managing Director, Indonesia

    DHL Global Fowarding

    Hired to establish a representation unit in Indonesia, which ultimately employed over 200 staff. The role reported to the CEO Asia Pacific. A substantial local business acquisition enabled an accelerated market entry, ahead of the business plan. Through organic growth I developed the company into a market leader and safely guided the unit through the Asian Economic crisis and the Indonesian turmoil years (1997 – 2000), overachieving the budget every single year.
