I have established a research program to quantify the light pollution produced by Berlin and Brandenburg, and to begin to assess its impact on the ecology of the region. This work involves ground and air based remote sensing, selection, calibration, and installation of light sensing instruments, writing analysis software, and the development of an imaging spectrometer.
2006 - 2008
Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Pennsylvania
I held primary responsibility for the integration of new high-speed analog triggering electronics into an existing prototype whole-body TOF-PET scanner. This work involved debugging and modifying the new electronics, optimizing the design for timing performance, and physically mounting the boards on the scanner
