    Advanced the design of a clearance controller that preserved the blade tip distance from the shroud during high g maneuvers where blade deflection temporarily reduced turbine efficiency.     Hired to contribute to 3 experimental projects centered around piezoelectric materials. Smart materials were implemented to reduce the number of moving parts which allowed for easier maintenance and less failure modes. The projects were intended for use in harsh environments like humid, high temperature steam pipes, Venus, and Mars.
