Über mich
I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Cape Town, where I apply my expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and chemical biology to develop screening assays for inhibitors of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) that are relevant to human diseases, such as cancer and infectious diseases. I use state-of-the-art mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques to elucidate cellular processes on a molecular level, with the aim of identifying potential targets for future therapeutic strategies. I am passionate about the innovation of molecular technologies that can advance disease detection and treatment, as well as enhance human well-being. I have multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, where I have demonstrated my skills in NMR spectroscopy, synthetic organic chemistry, and natural products. I am always eager to learn new techniques, methods, and concepts, and to apply them to real-world challenges.
