How do you give an organization a personality you can trust? By having customers do the talking. I create customer-centric publications which showcase all the research they are doing using QIAGEN products. This means working with web, social media, journalists, videographers, and internal campaign managers - to strategize on content planning, budgets and expectations. But a main part of the role is fine-tuning texts, video and imagery to make sure we have a final story worth sharing with the world.

Organized and managed both web and print projects with a focus on marketing materials for product launches, web-postings, and printed collateral for clients. Successfully coordinated these projects to achieve objectives, effectively working to deadlines, independently and with cross-functional teams. Proactively explored opportunities to meet the demands of clientele, providing highest level of quality client service on time and on budget.

Continued work on various projects for the Department of Health on a freelance basis.

Responsible for all client communications with regards to design/illustration requests. These ranged from concept art, brochure designs, business cards, cartoons, logos, etc. Projects were either fulfilled by me, or outsourced to a freelance designer.

Broad-minded, creative, and effective communication with partners and coworkers at a high-intensity advertisement agency, requiring tact, knowledge of protocol and the proper etiquette for dealing with potential clients. Handled all incoming phone calls and scheduling requirements.

Rehired at CDPH to continue in previous role of Project Coordinator - Independently managed high priority information related to CA health, and organized data and design charts for public response while rebranding company materials which peaked public interest leading to an increase in the department’s yearly budget allocated for a creative department.

Experience in covering topics related to wildlife, ecology and new environmental technologies through research, interviews and photographs. Demand for my writing increased exponentially over the years, resulting in a highlighted weekly column, promotion to editor, and requests to allow the printing of my work in a variety of publications.

Analysis of data provided by interviewing a diverse group of customers to identify market trends and preferences for large automotive companies such as Toyota and Ford.

Analysis of the of Hawksbill Turtles' nesting habitats and the organization of volunteer groups to effectively monitor over 5000 animals, thus ensuring the survival of the highly endangered species for at least another generation.

Prepared facility for variety of events (from corporate retreats and training classes, to weddings) many of which required planning around upwards of 500 guests, many of whom had special needs and requirements.
