•Recipe optimization and development of an existing paint system • Evaluation of new additives with corresponding laboratory activities • Analysis of the surface resistance of the paint • Development of methods to qualify the paint quality • Analysis of the electromagnetic shielding of a paint using the American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM) device

•Maintenance of raw material data on allergens/types of nutrition in SAP • Supplier inquiries on raw material issues and documents such as certificates and specifications • Checking and filing of the documents in the IT system SAP

• Examination of the samples using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) • Elemental analysis of the samples using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) • Knowledge of electroplating, soldering and metallography • Analysis of crack formation at the interface and pore formation and layer thickness measurement of the inter-metallic compounds

•Support of the Department of Materials Metals and Surfaces in the Development of the Complete Vehicle •Preparation of samples •Independent processing and organization of smaller projects (e.g. corrosion tests and coating selection). •Execution of component and material investigations incl. Evaluations on the topics of surface protection and metallic materials • Determination of corrosion mechanisms by means of corrosion tests, metallographic investigations and material analysis
