In this role, I am in Charge of several Mayor Maintenance Projects in different Production Units. My current Projects are following: 1) Renovation project for the complete medium pressure steam lines in the south refinery. 2) Turbine/ Generator unit revamp with Siemens. 3) Revamp of a cooling tower unit existing of 10 cells. 4) Process safety upgrade of several Olefine tanks. 5) Repair project of a Gas Cooler All projects are combined summ up to about 60 MM Euro.

In this role I am implementing a new Polyesther Polyol technology in the existing plant. The project is being implemented via the Front End Loading (FEL) principal. This role is diverse in the sense that the project consists of diverse stakeholders ranging from R&D to commercial and operations. The project will be implemented by a multicultural team based in Germany, England and USA.

I am responsible for the technical implementation of Outotec's multidisciplinary international projects. Technical project teams normally consists of about 40 engineers from all disciplines and from different cultures with engineering hubs in India, Sweden, Finland and Latin America. Currently I am leading two Sulphuric acid projects in Iran and one copper ore roasting project in Chile.

Within this function I am coordinating all engineering/technical aspects of Sulphuric Acid & Gas Cleaning projects. Usually the engineering team consists of around 30 employees from the various Outotec technology centers (Germany, Finland, Sweden and Chile). The projects typically are lump sum EPC contracts in the range of 50 - 300 Million USD.

For Codelco´s multi million (+200 MMUSD) dollar project of Mansa Mina, I am Outotecs site manager, in charge of construction and the preparation for commissioning. Within this role I am leading a team of some 20 international Outotec engineers and approximately 400 subcontractor personal, who are all working jointly in achieving mechanical completion within the timeframe and budget set.

In charge of the restoration works and start of commissioning at a 1800 tdp sulphur burning plant. Within this job I am leading a group of +/- 6 engineers to ensure fast and high quality repair works, furthermore I am supporting the client in all site related issues, scheduling, technical uncertainties and change orders.

In this complex function I am the responsible liaison engineer for the client, regarding all technical matters for the Codelco MMH (Mansa Mina) project, a green field roaster, gas cleaning and acid plant complex. This role covers all communication between the know-how centers in Sweden, Germany, Finland, Chile and of course the Client itself.

For the Codelco MMH (Mansa Mina) project in Chile I am leading a group of about 10 engineers to design and supply a large scale (+/- 35 t/h) sulphuric acid plant, which is part of a multi-100 million USD project to deliver a complete Copper ore treatment facility. Within this function I am responsible for the timely completion of the deadlines, cost and quality control of the entire sulphuric acid part of the project.

Within this function I assured quality standards during the construction of a minerals processing plant. The construction site was located near Lima, Peru. Within this role I managed a group of about 10 Peruvian Quality engineers. During this time I was also deputy site manager for the complete project.

My primary task is it to specify and buy equipment for new chemical plants. The equipment ranges from steel towers to pumps and plate coolers. This task includes price negotiation and inspection.

As Process Engineer, my main focus was implementing standard work-processes ( six sigma, Lean processes, IWS) and increasing the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and PR (Process Reliability). Furthermore I initiated and lead projects to reduce headcount in the department. In addition I was part of an international project team to implement a new toothpaste filling technology at our site. I also lead a team to implement a new planning system in our plant called 'Produce to Demand'.
