As a Backend Developer within the Data Insight Team, I participate to the collection and the analysis of data from VIER's flagship product—an ACD with omnichannel capabilities—and various AI-based services. My responsibilities include developing and maintaining a suite of APIs written in Go, utilizing technologies such as MySQL, Redis, and Kafka. Additionally, I am increasingly taking charge of the CI/CD pipeline.

I worked within an Agile workflow as part of a team responsible for the development of a top-notch candidate assessment platform for tech jobs, consisting of two applications. • I used Go to implement and maintain all the RESTful APIs of several complex web applications. • I used gRPC for communication between the backend and the frontend. • I worked extensively with a PostgreSQL database. • I got familiar with writing clean code and I covered most of the applications’ code base with unit tests.

External examiner of Ancient Greek History for the School of Humanities (University of Genoa).

Fellowship awarded through highly competitive international selection. My research at the FU Berlin concerned the ritual guarantee practices exchanged during Graeco-Persian diplomatic encounters.

This was a study and research fellowship. I worked on my first book on Homeric politeness and I enhanced my mastery of classical languages through the full-immersion method. The job also implied some tasks of editorial coordination in different projects.

Integrative classes within Prof. Gazzano’s module Storiografia Greca (LM) I designed and taught integrative classes for postgraduate students, this time on both the image of the Achaemenid Empire in the Greek sources. Their methodological aim was to stimulate reflection on the way we can understand history from fragmentary sources and which problems such a task presents. both courses, all the texts were studied in Greek.

I was responsible of the first-year module "Introduction to the Ancient Greek History". This course mainly consisted in approaching a broad spectrum of themes related to ancient Greek History from the Mycenaean to the Hellenistic period through a great number of different sources: texts (in translation), inscriptions, papyri, iconography, coins, etc. Its main goal is to teach the students to correctly analyse and understand sources.

My PhD research aimed at shedding light upon the cultural features of this Greek idea, outlining the ways in which it oriented social judgement. The analysis is conducted through categories inspired by the research of the sociologist Erving Goffman, entirely readapted in order to apply them to ancient sources. The prime focus of the work is on Homer. This is followed by a study of the role of the principles of ancient Greek politeness, as gleaned from the epics.


Officially recognised as equipollent to an Italian MA in Classics by the University of Genoa (2012).

The subject of my dissertation was the gesture of the handshake in ancient Greece, and the evolution of its symbolic meanings in both daily interaction and official and diplomatic circumstances, from the 8th to the 4th century BC.
