Synthesis and characterization of calcium phosphate materials by Solid state NMR. The field of interest of this training course relates to Biomaterials, and more precisely to the synthesis and characterization of calcium phosphates. I have developed and managed two collaborations with the group of Prof. A. Osaka (Department of Bio-engineering, University of Okayama, Japan) and the group of Prof. M. Vallet-Regi (Faculty of Pharmacy, Universita Complutense de Madrid, Spain).

Post-doc training course in the field of powder metallurgy. Study of the surface state of stainless steels before and after sintering. Experience on surface analysis and mechanical properties of stainless steels.

My research project consisted in increasing the resorbability of phosphocalcium cement used in bone substitution. During these period of time I was in permanent contact with orthopeadic surgeons and biologists in order to test in vivo behaviour of our products.

Research topic: XPS superficial analysis of iridium films, EDS and XRD characterization; study of the morphology of the iridium deposited films.
