Contributing to Schneider Electric's realisation of among other things, improved business acquisition and quality, margin solidity and cash fluidity, execution reliability and consistency, and increased customer satisfaction by driving the transformation of the Solutions Business in Africa and The Caribbean from Country to Zone.

Title change in alignment with reorganised Steam Turbines global business. Maintain full responsibility for business management (– fiduciary, control, & compliance), and directorship (– business & project operations across global value-chain & with global teams).

Managing local portfolio of Steam Turbine & Generator mega-projects, ensuring fluent continuation of operations and seamless tie-back into our global operations following global Power Sector business realignment along fuel groups.

Full management responsibility for Steam Turbines Business, and heading of the business' project management activities over a current fleet of 12 x 800 MW Steam Turbines & Generators (approaching B€ 1 in direct value, and indirectly influencing corporate scope worth approximately B€ 3.5), ensuring solid contribution to group profitability in a challenging global economy.

Successfully took-over and fluently led Business Unit as additional responsibility, with full fiduciary and headcount responsibility, during extended management transition period and pending corporate succession decision.

Developed local resource capacity and contributed significantly to our successful localisation of project management functions – Project Managers, Project Planner, Financial Controller, Contracts Manager (FIDIC & NEC), Procurement Manager, as well as establishing effective Engineering and Quality Management local interface to our clients. Directed the roll-out and customisation of global project business management systems and processes for unit functions.

Demonstrated accelerated assimilation of new business imperatives in successfully localising the Steam Turbine & Generator (STG) Project Management on Medupi 6 x 800 MW Project from Germany, leveraging the same for the establishment and sustainability of a new Turbomachines Business Unit in Johannesburg. Successfully took-over and managed mega-project business with full P&L responsibility – Medupi Power Station 6 x 800 MW STG scope (design, manufacture, delivery, installation & commissioning).

Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in taking over and successfully managing to completion, a 400 kV transmission line EPC project. Successfully led the execution of a 300 km long 220 kV transmission line EPC project for BPC valued at MZAR 200, contractually achieving on-time takeover. Demonstrated comprehensive engineering competence, technology assimilation, and transferability of knowledge and experience in transitioning to and successfully managing various Power Technology Systems Projects.

Managed full Project Business Value Chain: design, supply chain, depot and site operations management – Full AC Transmission Lines Projects Life Cycle Management on various projects in Zimbabwe and on site in Zambia. Executed Business Development activities: tendering, negotiation, and client relationship management. Operations Management: management of plant & equipment depot and integration of this unit with project site operations.

Successfully established structural design capability improving our offering and operational flexibility while reducing operating costs. Leading role in ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification of our manufacturing units. Manufacturing & Operations Units P&L responsibility. Profitably managed numerous transmission infrastructure EPC projects – 132 kV to 330 kV. tendering and contract negotiations, through to execution and contract close-out. Activity Based Costing implementation.

Attained stakeholder and peer respect on demonstrated competency in leading the on-site construction activities during tenure on MUSD 25 NUST Central Library construction project, prior to being headhunted for next assignment.

Broad Construction Management responsibility on residential, commercial, industrial, and civil projects starting on site as Site Agent/Manager and developing into Project Management function handling full value chain from project acquisition through to execution and close-out. Successfully introduced design capability into contracting operations in collaboration with a well respected mentoring consulting engineering practice - Peter Williams & Partners Consulting Engineers.
