ULAKBİM is responsible for operating ULAKNET (National Research and Education Network) – nationwide high speed computer network with global links. As a member of ULAKBIM, I'm responsible for design, implement and operate nationwide, ISP scale network with all main and sub tasks of it, including dynamic/static routing, layer1&2 links (atm, ethernet, mpls), IPv4/v6 administration, Incident Response Team administration, IT project management, etc.

Manager of University Computer Center Network Group with 7 network administrator and 5 technicians. Network is a large University network consists of about 32.000 users and 12.000 active clients. Job description also required project management of IT projects of University.

I worked on network and system administration. Dealed with Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, FDDI, Token Ring as backbone; SDH, Frame Relay, ATM and Metro Ethernet as WAN; WiFi, PRI, dialup, VPN as remote connections; IDS/IPS, Firewall as security components. Also dealed with IEEE 802.1x, web caching, fiber optic cabling, QoS, data analysis. Developed and deployed open source solutions like FreeBSD/Linux as border router, QoS, firewall, IDS/IPS; Squid as a WCCP GRE tunnel transparent proxy, FreeRadius, Asterisk etc.

Mainly interested with instructional technnologies and effects of network technologies on education.
