Responsible for the finance team within the division Defence & Space monitoring subsidiaries, JVs and participations (ca. 200). Main targets are to protect shareholder’s interests and assets by representing the division in supervisory boards (e.g. UMS), to monitor the financial performance and implement recovery measures (if required) and to ensure a reasonable return on invest. Also, delivering impairment tests for year end closing and company valuations (DCF) for continuous portfolio optimizations.

Managing a maritime safety & security company of €50m revenues and 200 people based in Germany and France. Responsible for Finance & Controlling, Contract Management (including bid approvals), Procurement and Corporate Governance/ IT (30 people). The role also involved the communication to all stakeholders and the realignment of the SIGNALIS strategy including restructuring and change of shareholder structure.

Setting up and leading a new function for ‘Finance Systems & Tools’ within the division Defence & Security (€7bn revenues, 40 entities). Objectives were to define a strategic road map and deploy against targets in liaison with IT and external consultants. We successfully delivered solutions for divisional planning and reporting (SAP BW) and enterprise management for small entities in Saudi Arabia and India (SAP All-in-One).

Responsible for the accounting team within the management unit Military Air Systems (€2bn revenues and 10 entities in Germany, France and Spain) delivering the monthly / annual financial statements according to local GAAP / IFRS and acting as key contact for external auditors. Also, safeguarding effective internal controls and managing successfully the accounting work stream of a carve-out project.

Responsible for the cost accounting team in Ottobrunn within the management unit Military Air Systems delivering the monthly and annual closings. Also, coordinating the cost accounting activities in Manching and Augsburg, continuously optimizing the hourly rates and defending these in price audits as well as M&A related project work (e.g. finance due diligence, post-merger integration).

Start of my qualification as trainee in different finance functions (e.g. cost accounting, price audit, budgeting) and project work (e.g. SAP R/3 implementation, integration of quality management in the production).

Design, implementation and documentation of a Microsoft Access database for customer relationship management (CRM).
