After 4 years training, I was commissioned in the Indian Army as an officer and served until 1995 when I took early retirement as a Lt Col. Have undertook ground breaking expeditions in the Himalaya including the Trans-Himalaya Expedition, an 475-day odyssey across the entire range and 97-day Ski-Himalaya adventure in the deep winters.
