The principal purpose of this project was to correct and improve the existing Technics used to protect the Bizerte-Rades pipeline from corrosion. Cathodic protection reduces the corrosion rate of the external surface of the pipeline by making it the cathode of an electro-chemical cell. Cathodic protection is used in combination with coating. Internal corrosion is mitigated by the injection of corrosion inhibitors.

- Identify and research relevant Operational, Compliance, Safety and Material Handling standards for the Chemical Industries (mainly refineries) - Integrate a compilation of best Business Practice guidelines into the company's suite of applications.

- Synthesis of stationary monolithic phases for Liquid Chromatograohy (Ion Exchange Chromatography), and for other research purposes. - Characterization of the synthesized stationary monolithic phases using SEM (Scanning electron microscope). - Research and investigation of available best practices to implement On-ship conductivity detectors. - Design of a miniaturized chemical suppressor for Ionic Chromatography with different detection profiles.

Worked with the engineering team for the study of the defects observed in the manufactured parts and exploring the different causes mainly taking place in the foundry where liquid metal is poured into the moulds.

- One month internship in the quality control laboratory where i worked with different petroleum derivatives. - Performed distillation, density, flash point, viscosity, octane rating measurements. Pipeline inspection, - Daily samples collecting and Millipore Membrane aviation fuel testing.

- One month internship in the compressor station of Feriana (south Tunisia). - Assisted the maintenance of gas turbines, turbo generators and air coolers in the compressor station of Feriana (South Tunisia).
