Based in London and sitting within the Risk department of Willis, I'm a member of the Global Analytics team developing catastrophe models for both insurance and re-insurance clients. The models we develop cover the total range from deterministic or simulation based to fully probabilistic. My responsibility within the cat modelling team includes perils such as flood, tsunami, tropical cyclone and bushfire.

At my time at HR Wallingford I was a GIS professional working mainly on Flood and Energy projects. The main focus was on developing algorithms for spatial analyses implemented in risk management decision support tools. Projects were on an international scale from LNG terminal scoping studies in East Africa to Flood Hazard Mapping for several islands in the Caribbean to extensive national flood risk assessments in the UK.
