Responsible for global IT systems architecture and service delivery in the IT infrastructure area. Also responsible for technical consultancy to both infrastructure and application development teams and for extensive automation of the IT infrastructure (Debian, KVM, Open vSwitch) using Saltstack.

Responsible for backend development on a Java/Scala application, focusing on the database side, delivering performance improvements for both the code and data model onto PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Responsible for an ELK deployment to monitor this application, covering system metrics, security audits, and trend prediction. Worked on solutions for database clustering with AWS and hosted stacks and on a virtualization platform to execute the database cluster and other applications.

Technical lead for a global, distributed team delivering enhancements to the Calypso trading platform handling Middle Office trade processing. Responsible for implementing business rules onto supporting code, improving deployment processes, enhancing code testability and develop new message processing engines. Also responsible for troubleshooting Java concurrency issues on performance testing tools. Also responsible for developing tools for data storage using EMC Atmos, ElasticSearch and Apache Lucene.

Part of the senior development team for the Group Security Framework, acting as a technical lead and working closely with the architecture team during a major evergreening effort, being responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and enhancements to the framework itself and libraries using the nCipher NetHSM hardware, for the Java configuration management library, for the user management component and for the SSO/SAML component, and for the reference applications for 3rd party integration.

Technical leader and solution architect in a team responsible for devising a migration strategy for the HSBC Internet Banking moving from a legacy servlet platform onto a new portlet platform. The scope of work included devising the migration strategy and research/develop the missing components required to enable the process, including code generators for Java/Spring and extensions for both the in-house Security Platform and IBM WebSphere portal.

Responsible for building integrations between Portlet-based applications running on a Global Branch Business Platform over IBM WebSphere Portal, legacy HTTP Servlet systems, and legacy DOS/Windows applications used in the bank's branches in Brazil. Also responsible for researching and deploy solutions to enable SSO for this business platform.

Responsible for creating and administrating highly-available PostgreSQL database clusters running on Linux systems, including creating and maintaining processes to migrate data from other data sources onto PostgreSQL. Also part of the Linux internalization team, responsible for creating Debian packages and developing/maintaining a repository management system based on Ruby on Rails.
