My tasks as a working student at j&s-soft gave me a very good introduction to the professional life of a computer scientist. I was able to work independently on the development of a comprehensive software solution for the administration of online identities. The focus was on implementing a library that allows access to native functionalities for hybrid apps. I also gained experience in collaborative and agile enterprise software development with utilization of common tools like git, jira, vscode and more.

As a system administrator of a medical practice, I come into contact with a wide variety of tasks in the field of IT: installation and monitoring of backup solutions, hardware repair, data protection as well as IT security consulting, user training, remote maintenance, implementation of new digital processes through e-doctor letters, e-prescriptions and transcription software and much more.

After finishing my bachelor in computer science I decided to continue studying as I was very interested in machine learning and the excellent courses provided at Heidelberg University. I started learning basic machine learning concepts like linear regression and random forest classification with my first project being the utilization of reinforcement learning to train a model for the game "Bomberman". I am now continuing with a deep dive into neural networks.

I enjoyed my studies a lot. I gained insight in many important topics ranging from programming languages like Python, C++ or JavaScript to more theoretical and complex topics like databases, distributed networks, operating systems, software engineering and mathematics. My bachelor thesis explored integration architectures for online identity management systems using messaging systems. I was very happy to cooperate with j&s-soft using their identity management software Enmeshed as reference.
