Glovo gave me the opportunity to combine a management position with my face-to-face master. I’ve created an IT department from scratch on a fast pace growth context (from 900 to 1700 employees in 2020) to support 22 cities and 298 countries, with a 5 persons team. I reported directly to the VP level. Project remarks: 2019: - Global offices network design. - SSO creation with self-made middleware on python. - Implemented a first level fraud detection system for e-mail.

I was in charge of a 5 IT team members delivering helpdesk, system operations and development services for a community of 1200 students 200 teachers and 30 staff. I reported to the subdirector. Project remarks: - 2018: Implement a directory (Active Directory + OpenLDAP) ready for an SSO. Create new core networking with 20Gbps backbone without disruption. - 2017: Implement a perimetral HA firewall and new campus network redesign into an OpenStack Havana environment.

I joined ESMUC since its foundation, creating the IT Department to support a community of 700 students, 250 teachers, 50 staff. I reported to CEO. I led a team of 8 persons reduced to 2 during the economic crisis. I’ve combined IT Management and DevOps. Project remarks: - 2014: Migration of server infrastructure to hybrid IaaS. - 2009: Migration from W2003 AD/Exchange to Linux Novell Suite. - 2003: Lead new building relocation with minimal service disruption to the users.

I joined CNS-UPF in coordination with my full time position at ESMUC. I designed and deployed their data science cluster, using a workload manager (SGE/Slurm) to make flexible computation pipelines with shared NFS storage. I made a 20Gbps network divided in 3 vlans (MPI/Computation, Storage, Management) ensuring its isolation and QoS. I’ve used LXC containers in v0.9 previous to the appearance of Docker. LXC gave me isolation and an amazing performance level that I dedicated to computation.

I started as SysOps in one building. I rapidly grew until I was co-responsible to maintain and evolve the complex UPF Novell Netware server infrastructure. I led those changes with multidisciplinary teams of system and network engineers, developers and managers.
