Set up harmonised cost planning and cost controlling, in order to manage expenses. Designed and introduced long-lasting SAP-based Finance solutions and processes in time and quality, serving managers for cost reporting and planning all around the world. Integrated merged entities around the globe. Standardised cost allocation, cost reporting and cost accounting topics (e.g. international recharges in this truly global company, IFRS17), regarded as best practice inside Allianz group.
Consulted European insurance companies mainly on cost, finance, and operations ("lean") topics in order to improve transparency, efficiency and effectiveness. Managed newly founded McKinsey practice for insurance operations and IT. Built up and expanded insurance cost benchmarking across many European countries (which is still prospering today, more than 20 years later), identifying saving potentials of multiple hundred million EUR.
