At Mecserve, I have been able to use creative and critical thinking in the construction sector, a sector which appears to have a need for progression and innovation. Supported by the senior engineers I stepped into a design role with responsibilities to the mechanical services and sustainability teams. I represent Mecserve at client and design team meetings, manage projects through the planning process, solve technical problems throughout construction and accept commissioned systems on behalf of the client.

I was a key team member carrying out fitout works on level 7 in the Shard, in particular in the coordination and package management of trade contractors. Following this, I went on to be the sole mechanical project engineer on a high-end residential conversion. I designed all mechanical systems including domestic services, heating and extract ventilation, backed up by my own technical calculations, and project managed the contract works.
