Kira Riedl

I am a postdoctoral researcher in a theoretical solid state physics group at the Goethe university Frankfurt. Next to finishing some projects that are rooted in my PhD work, I support PhD and master students in the group. Moreover, I scientifically coordinated the proposal of a transregional collaborative research center that includes research groups in Frankfurt, Mainz and Kaiserslautern. This CRC was confirmed to be funded in May 2020.

Between handing in my thesis and the defense, I took care of the coordination of the proposal for a transregional collaborative research center including groups in Frankfurt, Mainz and Karlsruhe. This CRC was confirmed to be funded in May 2020.

Next to everyday research tasks in order to pursue my PhD thesis, I supervised each semester a tutorial of approx. 20 students. Oral and poster presentations of research results in international conferences in the US, China and several places in Germany were also an essential part of the job.
