Experimental Physicist, Nanotechnology, Nanofluidics, Fluid Dynamics, Surface and Interface Analysis. Studied the wetting and dewetting phenomena of polymer thin films on viscoelastic substrates, which are either planar or topographically structured. Techniques used: Scanning Probe Microscopy (Atomic Force Miscoscopy), Rheology, Ellipsometry, Confocal-, Electron-, Dark Field- Microscopy. Industrial applications: super-hydrophobic surface, coatings, hybrid micro/nano structures, lab-on-a-chip,/microTAS.

Electrochemistry / Materials Science: The use of thin films as intercalation electrodes and the study of their physical and chemical properties. The study of the optical, mechanical and electronic properties of the materials, along with their electrochemical characterization. Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Electrodeposition, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).

IInternship at the National Laboratories of Frascati (LNF). Infrared Spectroscopy using Synchrotron radiation at the DAFNE Synchrotron Radiation Facility - INFN.

Ph.D. Dissertation: Dewetting of polymer thin films on viscoelastic substrates.
