Über mich
I am committed to continuous learning and have developed a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in the field of sustainability, with a particular focus on environmental sustainability. Due to the fact that environmental sustainability aims to maintain or enhance the health and welfare of natural resources and ecosystems over a long period while minimizing negative environmental impacts and promoting sustainable practices, I have conducted research using various molecular techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR amplification, metabarcoding, sequencing, and bioinformatics, to study the impact of different human-induced pressures on freshwater ecosystems through modern environmental monitoring, modelling, and analysis. I also possess expertise and experience in applying data science techniques, particularly machine learning, in environmental science and sustainability.

Roles: - Collection of biofilm tiles from stream mesocosms for DNA extraction and further processing. - The rapid quantification of green algae, cyanobacteria and diatoms on the collected tiles from the biofilm experiment at stream mesocosms using the bbe BenthoTorch instrument. - Measuring the flow velocity of water at stream mesocosms using a velocity meter.
