Project Overview (Medakovo-Ozimice Highway Development): - FIDIC Red Book Contract Terms. - Construction of a 21 km highway network to enhance regional connectivity. - 4 post-tensioned bridges and 4 reinforced bridges along the main roadway. - Excavation and installation of a 2.2 km tunnel with dual tubes to facilitate efficient traffic flow. - Integration of various superstructures including underpasses and culverts to local and main road infrastructure resilience. - Project value of 420 million euros.

This internship was done at the Dams branch directorate. The sites of dams and small dams were visited, diversion facilities, spillway facilities and bottom spillway, valve room and most importantly dam body, location of structures, materials to be used, reservoir area etc. observed and information was given.

This was internship program. The project was a highway project. It involved bridge, road and tunnel construction. In this process, I saw the application of bored piles, the construction of raft foundations, the necessary soil survey tests in these constructions, the concrete strength tests, how the necessary reinforcement was selected and how it was applied, how the determination of the places that require stirrups and crossbars was made and applied.
