Margarethe Klimbacher

Thanks to tirelessly improving my technical skills and delving into all kinds of creative media, I turned from a child with escapist tendencies and a head full of daydreams to an adult that can put those dreams into lively, colorful illustrations. My passion for storytelling isn’t only represented in my regular work but also in my educational comic on eating disorders, which thanks to Austria’s leading therapy center for people with eating disorders and sponsors, has been distributed in all over Austria. The comic-project was entirely headed by me, from writing to drawing to finding sponsors and holding public speeches about the matter, which is a testament to my determination and endurance as well as ability to tackle new challenges when it comes to ambitious projects. Thanks to being involved in the world of theater from a very young age and internships in visual communication, I was able to gain a good understanding of how to effectively stage and tell stories through visuals.
