Otsuka UK showed strong growth in recent years, with the Finance function growing in line. For the past 6 years I have been responsible for Finance, Supply Chain and IT which includes internal/external reporting, tax, management of bank relationships, financial planning/budgeting and setting up financial controls/procedures. I manage a team consisting of 3 Finance professionals and 1 IT support staff. A vital part of my role is to provide strategic commercial and financial planning to the Managing Director.

I worked closely with the Finance Directors of the Local Operating Companies in Europe to assess and resolve financial issues (profitability, liquidity, asset management, financial and non-financial risks and value orientation). I supported the European companies with their financial reporting, budgeting, long term financial and strategic planning, forecasting and accounting. I provided operational support for the start-ups in UK and Ireland. I was Project Manager for Finance of a 75 m€ manufacturing plant.

I conducted financial, operational and strategic auditing of subsidiaries for the Royal Philips Electronics Group in Germany and other European countries. I have audit experience in the divisions Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics, Lighting and Medical Systems. I was also involved in business risk management for the subsidiaries within Philips. I was Project Leader for special assignments such as fraud investigations.
