Working as an independent financial adviser I have noticed that most people I meet in Luxembourg have a drastic shortfall in their pension provision, assuming they wish to retire before age 65. I help people find shortfalls in their financial planning and, working together, offer tax efficient solutions for them.

The Scottish Association of Luxembourg, Comann Na h-Alba Luxembourg, was formed in October 2008. The aims of The Scottish Association of Luxembourg are to promote all things Scottish to Luxembourg, raise money for selected local and other charities and to have a bit of fun doing all this.

McCrea's offered me a new challenge, drawing on my previous experience as an investment adviser and my more recent experience in also advising on mortgages. Here, I set up and ran the mortgage department for 3 years, increasing mortgage sales form 3 mortgages per month to over 20 per month. I offered independent investment, mortgage and financial advice to new and existing clients. I analysed the previous compliance system and restructured this to comply with MCCB and FSA guidance, leading to a succes
