After my retirement on August 31, 2022, I continue to work exclusively for General Electric on a consultancy base as employee of ExperConnect focusing on external relationsships of GE Vernova in Switzerland.

Representing the gas power business of General Electric externally in associations, funding organisations, research organisations with appointments in various boards of directors and as VP of the european association of gas- and steam turbine manufacturs including all contacts to governmental agencies with focus on Europe

In the Chief Technology Office of Alstom Thermal Power responsible for all external, technology related collaborations globally; preparation and implementation of long-term plans to identify, promote, establish and manage technology relationships with standard bodies, universities and research organisations; promotion of technology projects to public research agencies to create opportunities for external collaborative projects and coordination of the response to those opportunities.

Director Marketing & Product Managemet in the Gas Plants business; responsible for the world wide technical sales support in business development und pre-aquisition phase regarding gas turbine based power plants as well as gas turbine equipement sales; develoloment of product development strategies including market analysis and business cases for new plant and equipment products, as well as product upgrades.

Business Unit General Manager „GT Component Engineering“ with about 270 people in Baden, Switzerland, with gas turbine R&D hubs in Moscow (Russia), West Palm Beach (US), Whetstone (UK) und Karlovac (Croatia), totalling to about 450 Mitarbeiter people; full responsibility for the provision of enough educated resources for the gas turbine development, validated tools and technology as well as development process.

First development manager of the GT26 gas turbine development, and then 1999 development manager for both GT24 and GT26 gas turbines with a team of up to 130 people and a budget of up to 42 MCHF p.a..

Supporting the GT24/GT26 development manager in finishing the development of the new ABB 50 Hz gas turbine GT26.

ABB Uniturbo was a JV between ABB and the Russian company Saturn to devlope advanced turbines and to manufacture turbine blading. The R&D team devloped retrofit solutions with improved turbine plading for older ABB gas turbines like GT11D, GT11N, GT13D, but also for new gas turbine products, i.e. the high pressure turbine for the GT24 and GT26 for ABB Kraftwerke AG in Baden, Switzelrand, as well as the turbine for the GTX100 for ABB STAL in Finspong, Sweden.

Starting in the performance team of an innovative new gas turbine, I moved to the gas turbine combustion department working on improving a GT13D gas turbine in operation in Frankfurt, Germany. After successful implementation of the device, I was requested to join the turbine department and started in Dec 1991 in the turbine team of the GT24/GT26 gas turbine development on day one of this new product team. In 1992 I became the component owner for the high pressure turbine of this new product.

Managing a newly installed cascade wind tunnel at the insitute of jet propulsion (Prof. Dr. Fottner); introducing a data aquisition system allowing fully automated profile pressure and wake tests; turbine measurements for MTU Aero Engines, Munich; successfull reserach on stator-rotor-interactions
