Dr. Mostafa Abdelhafiz

With a Ph.D. from Clausthal University of Technology in Germany, my expertise lies in modeling and simulating the drilling process using state-of-the-art mathematical models that describe the physics of deep drilling. My doctoral thesis focused on developing virtual drilling simulators to enhance drilling efficiency and reduce costs. Through my research, I implemented mathematical models to create accurate simulations of the drilling process. My passion for drilling technology has led me to become an expert in geomechanics and wellbore stability, as well as computational fluid mechanics (CFD) simulation. In addition to my research and teaching responsibilities, I also serve as a mentor and supervisor for Ph.D. and Masters students seeking to pursue advanced degrees in drilling engineering.
