Giving strategic insights and overseeing the IT and Communications functions at the County Assembly of Kwale Secretariat. I manage the ICT, Public Relations, Hansard & Research teams. Within my first 3 months, I set up an ICT steering committee to align ICT operations with the institutional ICT strategy and I also prepared an ICT policy securing its approval and implementation. For my dissertation, I looked at how African countries have looked into the Data Protection and privacy aspects in ICT’s (based on the basic privacy requirements).
