I was hired as a DevOps facilitator and Systems Architect to implement automation, monitoring and help to move the existing legacy backend to AWS. I led IT Operations and did the Service Provider Management, cost accounting / controlling and budget planning for the business plan 2014 for IT Operations. As a hiring manager I evaluated job candidates from all over the world and led job interviews. I was reporting directly to the CTO and also had an advisory role towards the COO in regard to internal IT.

Based on previous experience I built an ISP business together with a partner from Munich. Secure shared hosting platform not vulnerable to CGI exploits (developed own Linux kernel modules to harden the system) Also offered email services, domain registry, SSL certificates and consulting services. In 2005 I introduced a new SBU running SEO optimized portal sites on our own platform to monetize on advertising. From 2006 on we concentrated on this and stopped to provide ISP services to external customers.

I worked as an Engineer on Security Operations shift in the Managed Security Services department's Security Operation Center in Berlin, Germany. Built and operated security perimeters of high profile customers all over the world. Security analysis and recommendations to clients.

I was hired to operate the existing network infrastructure including but not limited to BGP4 routers, as well as to expand the infrastructure and do technical consulting in Hannover and Frankfurt (Main), Germany. I also led the on-site technical support staff.

I have worked as a LINUX / UNIX / POSIX specialist to operate existing systems, as well as design and develop new systems based on company or customer needs. I also was an engineer in the field operations team and a part of the garage team and assembled large amounts of custom configured workstations.
