The AGBC is a "e.V." with several chapters in germany. Its intention is to nurture the collaboration between the two countries with a "hands on" regional approach. Apart from bringing together german and american business guys we support students and schools through our scholarship program. Anually we award several students with prices of 1000 Euro that goes into their school tuition account.
Within kinkon GmbH i am responsible for the core service definition due to the fact that i initially developed the underlying methods. Daybyday business is the whole Business Development side of kinkon from investors to sales, marketing, PR et al.

Starting at brox as Senior Account Manager my responsibility was to aquire new projects, customers and partners. During my time there i won customers like Henkel, Xing/openBC and others. Later i initiated the joint Open Source Framework SMILA which is now released under eclipse. It is a joined project of brox and empolis to establish an open source integration framework for search engines. As head of alliances i was responsible for brox´ partner management.

Within empolis i was part of the former "tec:inno" team, that joined the bertelsmann family later in the same year. During this great time i was lucky to work with a gifted team of technicians and product developers. Together we delivered projects to customers like Otto Versand, Neckermann, Microsoft, Deutsche Post AG and many more. Although sometimes challenging, getting awards at Cebit and within the company compensated for some late late night shifts ;-)

During this time i learned a lot about "being employed" oposed to "being self employed". On the technological side a team of classification experts gave me a nice learning opportunity into the classification and retrival technologies at that time. As Sales Manager i supported the CEOs during the acquisition of high ranking customers within the german insurance industry and was responsible for the introduction of a CRM system.

Favourites have always been off-maintream products like Acorn Archimedes, NeXT, Apple, SPS programming... I liked that time very much, nevertheless decided to change to a full-time position at IIM GmbH.
