Reporting to the CEO, providing financial, commercial and governance leadership for a growing, privately owned O&G business with its exploration and production assets in the Republic of Kazakhstan; production of c8,000 bopd; turnover c$150 million (domestic sales revenues only). Instrumental in the formation of the group and the raising of western equity and debt finance to expand operations.

Reporting to the Executive Chairman of a copper-gold exploration and production company with its assets in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyzstan Republic. Led the financial and legal aspects of the group's formation, including an equity raise, and the subsequent disposal of the group's operating mine.

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, responsible for re-financing the Russian ferrochrome smelter operations, separating out the group’s exploration assets and assisting in the sale of the group’s chromite mining and ferrochrome smelting assets to Mechel OAO in April 2008 for $1.5 billion enterprise value.

Reporting to the Group CFO, working in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to provide financial oversight, systems, controls, Board and bank reporting during the financing and construction of a large and complex $180 million chromite mine development project.

Reporting to the CEO of the £80 million turnover Education & Technology Division, part of a highly acquisitive group providing consulting, education, medical, project management and IT services to the UK government and public bodies. Led the financial, legal and HR functions to deliver substantial business transformation and the creation of the group's largest operating division.

Reporting to the CEO of the £150 million turnover UK business, part of the pan-European networking solutions group (distribution, training and services), which was sold to Tech Data Corporation ($12 billion turnover) in 2003. Assisted the CEO in delivering a substantial business transformation agenda resulting in manpower and operating asset reorganisations.

Reporting to the UK Managing Director of the UK office products (contract and direct mail) business, part of the $12 billion Boise Cascade Corporation up to and post the sale of the European activities to PPR Group (France).

Reporting to the group CFO of a prestigious property development and management company owning several UK retail parks, a 60% interest in the Meadowhall shopping centre and 100% ownership of the Oberhausen retail centre in Germany.

Reporting to the Managing Director of a multi-media software development business prior to its sale to Sega of America.

Reporting to the Finance Director of a textile dying, spinning and weaving business in the Yarns & Fabrics Division prior to a group-wide down-sizing project which resulted in the majority of the company’s activities moving overseas.

Audit and insolvency roles predominantly for industrial and chemical clients. Also, a six month secondment to a high-profile liquidation and fraud case.
